Denise L. Davis, M.A, CRTL

Denise has worked with Dr. Piness for the past 6 ½ years as an integral part of the clinical support staff, assisting with patient care, phone triage and bone densitometry. Denise serves as the Care For You OB-GYN Head Nurse. She has earned the fine reputation of providing excellent personalized support and guidance with her phone advice and well as with her direct patient care.

Denise received her Clinical Radiology Technician training in 2004, through the International Society of Clinical Densitometry Training Program, in Miami, Florida. In 2004 she received her Virginia State Board Certification as a CRTL. In 1999 she completed her Clinical Technician Training for Cardiac Critical Care at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church,Virginia. Denise attended Northern Virginia Community College for the Nursing Program and has completed most of the curriculum. She is currently certified as a Clinical Medical Assistant. Denise is working on her pre-requisite courses for the Physician Assistant Surgical Program, that she expects to attend at James Madison University.

She is a mother of one, who enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and camping with her family. Denise and her son enjoy sponsoring a 12 year old boy in Kenya, Africa through World Vision. They look forward to living overseas as missionaries once they both complete school.

Ana S. Larrain, R.N., CRTL

Ana has worked with Dr. Piness for the past 17 years.  During those years, she has developed a special bond with her patients and considers them part of her family.

Ana was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia and graduated from Elizabeth Seton Nursing School in 1970. Ana then moved to Germany where she continued her studies in pediatrics and anesthesiology. After finishing school, she worked in the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU), Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and as an OB/GYN nurse anesthetist. Ana came to the United States in 1978. She worked in a nursing home for 6 months, then spent 3 years in the CCU and SICU at Northern Virginia Doctors Hospital. Ana passed her Nursing Boards in 1993. She received her Clinical Radiology Technician training in 2004 through the International Society of Clinical Densitometry Training Program in Miami, Florida. In 2004 she received her Virginia State Board Certification as a Certified Radiologic Technician Limited (CRTL) in Bone Density.

Ana spends her free time enjoying the company of her children and grandchildren. She also works part time at the Arlandria Health Center , where she provides education on health issues to women in the Hispanic community.
